Rapid problem solving has three fundamental steps which are the 3Cs: Concern, Containment, Countermeasure:

Escalate. Sometimes you just can't do it all yourself.

As much as we want to solve problems and take accountability, sometimes we find problems that have to be solved elsewhere.  So whilst you are working on the containment of the problem, you can easily escalate the problem in the my-CI app.

 

With a simple escalation process through the tiered system, problems find their way to the appropriate department function. Meanwhile, you can still see the problem you've escalated and the progress being made.  

 

Now sometimes, some problems are escalated when they may not need to be. As a leader, you can choose to delegate the problem and bring out those great coaching skills to help the team solve the problem themselves.  Go get your kata coat. We'll wait for you.
